Direction Finder

Radio Direction Finder (RDF) uses the reception of radio waves to determine the direction in which a ship is located.
Themys has extensive experience in integrating Radio Direction Finder, initially for rescue ships and later on for various navy, law enforcement and services ships.

We have built a strong partnership with RHOTHETA GMBH as they offer:

• COTS Radio Direction Finder with strong performance
• Ability to work with Themys to ensure specific developments as navy ECM requirements (eg minimum sensibility, resistance to electric field)

They product portfolio is structured around RT-300/500/600/800/1000.
For example RT-500-M operates between 118 and 470 MHz, including COSPAS-SARSAT (CP-SS) and all other V-UHF international distress frequencies.
Depending on the frequency range, these are part of standard package or can be procured as options.
